ECU Health Bertie Hospital Development Council

The ECU Health Bertie Hospital Development Council was formed in the fall of 2005 with the mission “to build relationships and help secure financial resources to support the health and wellness services of ECU Health Bertie Hospital.” This support has allowed the hospital to purchase much needed equipment, enhance current services offered at the hospital, and present important educational programs. The ECU Health Bertie Hospital Development Council has a long history of partnering with loyal donors like you who have made a direct impact on the health of our community through the generosity of your treasure, time and talent. You support ECU Health Bertie Hospital for many, many reasons. You know that the ECU Health Bertie Hospital Development Council is the vehicle through which you can provide this support for the hospital that has been there -  during good times and bad - for you, your family and the community.

Every Penny of Your Gift to the ECU Health Bertie Hospital Development Council Stays Local!

Your caring nature and generosity have helped to provide and underwrite many programs and services that directly impact the health and well-being of the residents of Bertie and Martin counties, including:

  • Construction of the Robert B. Spivey Chapel, the Perdue Farms Family Room, a handicapped accessible restroom, and a lovely Courtyard
  • Purchase of a bone densitometer for the Radiology Department as well as refreshing the Radiology exam rooms and waiting area
  • Purchase of two fully reclining chairs for each of the Inpatient Unit rooms
  • Provided fecal occult blood tests kits (colon cancer tests) to 500 area residents
  • Provided partial funding for an Endoscope for the Operating Room

What’s Your Reason? What’s Your Story?

You have your own story of why you support ECU Health Bertie Hospital. Maybe it involves a stay on the Inpatient Unit or a trip to the Emergency Department. Perhaps you are a patient of one of the beloved providers with ECU Health Family Medicine-Windsor. You may be seeing a physician or PA in the Outpatient Specialty Clinic. Regardless of the reason, you know that you will always receive quality care with a hometown touch at ECU Health Bertie Hospital where our family truly does care for yours.
