Working together, ECU Health North Hospital and the Roanoke Valley provide opportunities to improve healthcare through the ECU Health North Hospital Development Council (formerly Halifax Regional Foundation). Gifts to the Development Council provide essential financial support toward the Hospital’s mission of meeting the healthcare needs of the community.
We are fortunate to live in a caring community where residents demonstrate their care for family and friends in a variety of ways. The Development Council is pleased to be the link that enables quality healthcare to be available for all in the Roanoke Valley.

About ECU Health North Hospital Development Council
ECU Health North Hospital Development Council exists to improve healthcare at ECU Health North Hospital and the Roanoke Valley. We achieve that purpose by raising money and distributing it to buy equipment for the Hospital and to support health education programs. Our mission is to support ECU Health North Hospital in its effort to put “patients first through quality service, excellence, compassion, teamwork and commitment.”
In addition to raising money through gifts, memorials and estates, we have an annual golf tournament and a campaign among employees of the hospital.
As a not-for-profit, the ECU Health North Hospital Development Council is a charitable organization, and donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by the IRS.
