Smiles for Veterans

Launched in 2018 by East Carolina University’s School of Dental Medicine, ECU Smiles for Veterans provides essential dental care to those who have served our country.

Since its inception, the program has provided over $220,000 in services to more than 400 veterans across North Carolina.

Held annually at all eight Community Service Learning Centers and at Ross Hall, the Smiles for Veterans events serve pre-screened veterans who need a variety of dental procedures. Faculty, residents and students from the school and local offices provide the care. Through donor support, the Smiles for Veterans program provides veterans with the care they need at low or no cost.
