East Carolina University celebrated a major milestone in the construction of the new Brody Center for Medical Education. ECU held a topping-out ceremony marking the placement of the final steel beam on the seven-story, 195,000-square-foot building. The project is being built with $265 million of state funding and will connect with the existing medical school facility on every floor. The ceremony included remarks, recognition of the construction teams, and the signing of the final beam before it was lifted into place.
