Legacy Giving
Legacy giving is a meaningful way to give that is arranged in the present and allocated at a future date. Commonly donated through a will or trust, legacy gifts are most often granted once the donor has passed away.
Bequests
Bequests are flexible and may be changed with your life circumstances. You are able to retain control of the asset during your life while also benefiting ECU Health by leaving a legacy.
Gift Annuity
A gift annuity is a special type of donation that allows you to support ECU Health while providing regular income payments to you or someone you designate.
Charitable Remainder Trust
A charitable remainder trust offers benefits including a new income, tax benefits and the ability to make a significant impact on your community during your lifetime.
Retirement
Assets held in a qualified retirement plan have never been subject to income tax. Gifts to charitable organizations at death can reduce tax and the amount to family beneficiaries.
Life Insurance
A donor may make a life insurance gift to the ECU Health Foundation either by designating the Foundation as the owner and beneficiary of the policy or by designating a portion of the proceeds.
Real Estate
Gifts of real estate may be your principal residence or vacation home, farmland, commercial real estate or unimproved land.
When you choose to give a legacy gift to the ECU Health Foundation, your thoughtfulness provides hope to the people of eastern North Carolina. Through your legacy gift, you will become a member of the Legacy of Hope.
