WE GIVE is ECU Health’s team member giving initiative, a powerful way our ECU Health family supports programs and services that benefit our patients, fellow team members and neighbors across eastern North Carolina.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of ECU Health team members, millions have been raised over the past decade, providing life-changing resources where they’re needed most.

769 team members have received assistance through the Team Member Crisis Fund, totaling $1.26 million. $76,000 has been distributed out of $77,000 raised from Oct. 2024 to March 2025.

Over $4 million has been raised by team members in the last decade for WE GIVE. 100% of all donations go directly to the fund of the team members’ choice. WE GIVE currently supports 21 different fund opportunities.

More than 7,000 patients have received assistance through the Patient Medical Needs Fund, totaling $543,207. $74,000 has been distributed out of $106,000 raised from Oct. 2024 to March 2025.

We are deeply grateful to every team member who chooses to give. As a token of our thanks, each year we’ll send a newly designed short sleeve WE GIVE t-shirt to the homes of team members who make a one-time gift of $65 or a recurring gift of at least $2.50 per pay period. Those who go above and beyond by joining WE GIVE 30 (donating 30 minutes of pay per pay period) will also receive a special custom long-sleeved t-shirt in addition to the short sleeve design. Shirts will be mailed as donations are received, and every shirt is dress code compliant, making it easy to show your support while at work!

WE GIVE allows team members the opportunity to work together to create and enhance a culture of generosity at ECU Health. As a result, the ECU Health family – nearly 14,000 strong – will be able to give back to the projects and services that help us continue to fulfill our mission.
