Team Member News

Tina Dixon retired in July following more than 30 years of service with our health system. While we are thrilled that she is now able to spend more time with her family, especially her precious grandchildren, we are sad to have lost such a well-respected, knowledgeable, and dedicated team member.  We will be forever grateful for her countless contributions to our health system and eastern North Carolina.

On July 18, we welcomed an ECU Health beloved team member to our foundation family. Michele Cherry, MPA, joined us as the administrator of our grants program.  Michele will oversee the grants function for ECU Health, which includes training and updating entities who have grants or can apply, educating partners and team members on grant compliance and management, and developing solutions to increase the volume of grant dollars available to ECU Health.  She comes to us from ECU Health Edgecombe where she was the manager of Grants and Special Projects.  We are very lucky to have her expertise and knowledge and are excited to have her as part of our team!

On September 12, we welcomed a new ECU Health team member to our foundation family.  Scottie Brown joined us as the coordinator of our annual giving program.  Scottie will work closely with our annual giving director to design and implement creative fundraising strategies to engage new and existing donors and to share information about our ECU Health fundraising priorities. She comes to us from Ruffalo Noel Levitz where she was a senior writer for their fundraising division. Scottie is not new to eastern NC; she lived in Greenville and worked in ECU Advancement from 2008-2013. She will be working remoting from Denver, CO, and we are excited to have her as part of our team!
